ACCE—the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives—serves more than 7,500 chamber of commerce professionals, 1,300 chambers of commerce and hundreds of other businesses and organizations, like convention and visitors bureaus and economic development organizations. Chamber professionals hold positions requiring leadership, vision and exemplary management skills. ACCE helps chambers of commerce and the people who manage them make a difference in the communities they serve.
Established in 1914, ACCE offers resources, industry information and data, professional development opportunities, peer connectivity and best practice sharing through our annual convention and topical conferences, our award-winning magazine, online education, peer networking and other activities. To accomplish this mission, ACCE creates quality professional development-from core competencies, to strategic problem solving, to visionary leadership. The association meets the needs of its members in all stages of growth and from all sizes of chambers. ACCE provides the tools executives need to improve the management and operations of their chambers, including identifying and analyzing the trends affecting our nation' communities, establishing benchmarking studies, and sharing best practices. Through its chamber-crafted benefits plans, career advancement support, salary benchmarking and retirement planning, ACCE also enhances the economic well being of its members.

ACCE strives to provide a global network, as well as unique chamber-centric services, that chambers turn to when dealing with daily challenges. ACCE is an indispensable resource and the acknowledged leader in the professional, personal and career development of chamber professionals, all the while adhering to the highest standards of professional excellence and integrity.
The new mission and vision were adopted by ACCE's board of directors in early 2006. The new phrasing captures our changing membership composition, now involving representatives from every chamber management discipline. It also incorporates the themes discovered during the extensive research we conducted for the National Chamber Image Campaign.
