  • The New Castle County Chamber launched a new arm to bring leaders together to collectively work to move the needle on workforce development and small business challenges. New Castle County Economic Partnership formally launched in September, bringing together around 40 people invested in making the county an attractive place for entrepreneurs and big businesses.
  • The Los Angeles Area Chamber launched a new workforce program called “Paradigm Shift,” a strategic effort to reshape how employers and educational institutions collaborate. The initiative seeks to close the long-standing gap between what students learn in school and the skills employers need in a rapidly changing economy.
  • Several Maine business groups, including the Maine State Chamber and Portland Regional Chamber, launched a new coalition to advocate for more housing in Maine. The group, Build Homes, Build Community, said Maine's housing shortage is affecting businesses throughout the state, including the hospitality and construction industries.
  • Vermont Chamber, along with community and education leaders, launched a new aviation industry workforce program and opened the new Burlington Aviation Education Center at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport, a cutting-edge facility that marks a major investment in Vermont’s future workforce.
  • Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber partners with several community stakeholders on the Luzerne Learns to Work initiative, a county-wide effort that introduces students to career pathways as early as 9th grade.
  • The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance announced that they will merge to form the South Carolina Manufacturers and Commerce, formally combining entities, resources and leadership effective January 1, 2026.
  • GLMV Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with Lake County Workforce Development/Job Center of Lake County to connect businesses with workforce resources, training and support. This collaboration is designed to help employers meet their hiring needs, build stronger pipelines of workers and strengthen the overall economic vitality of the area.
  • Under Rodney Fong’s leadership, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce has focused on bolstering citywide recovery, advancing small business resilience and advocating for economic vitality.
  • The San Marcos Area Chamber debuted a mural by local artist Christopher Al Rodriguez on its building last month.  
  • In a recent op-ed, the Greater Sudbury Chamber called for action to improve safety, cleanliness and foot traffic downtown and in other commercial areas. The chamber’s recommendations include expanding the city’s clean-up and maintenance programs, improving co-ordination between enforcement and outreach teams and implementing policy changes to increase events and visitors.
