- The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce released the Northern Kentucky Housing Blueprint, a new report that recommends four interventions to address the region’s housing problems: establishing a housing fund, expanding workforce development, employer-assisted housing programs and construction of “missing middle” housing.
- Greater Winston-Salem Inc. and Visit Winston-Salem joined forces to develop a strategic action plan for the city over the next 12 to 16 months. The plan’s goals will be to document community assets, identify missing pieces and offer strategies to promote offerings that advance community goals.
- The Bastrop Chamber hosted its annual county health fair, which offers free health screenings, CPR certification, community wellness resources and family-friendly fun for all ages.
- Traverse Connect, in partnership with several regional chambers, launched a new program to provide cash housing assistance to help attract and retain talent in the region. The program will provide $5,000 in direct housing assistance to individuals who relocate to or secure new housing in northwest Michigan. Each recipient will also receive $1,500 in in-kind benefits, such as relocation support, networking opportunities, coworking memberships and tickets to cultural and community events.
- The Petoskey Regional Chamber held its annual housing town hall to raise awareness of critical housing needs in the county. This year, the event also featured updates on three upcoming multi-unit housing developments set to finish sometime between November and next spring – Petoskey's first multi-unit developments in over 20 years.
- The Turlock Chamber was awarded more than $500,000 from the California Employment Training Panel. The funds will be used to assist local businesses with workforce training efforts across multiple sectors in the Turlock region.
- The San Marcos Area Chamber, in partnership with the Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership, will host its 2025 State of Workforce & Higher Education business luncheon this month. This annual event brings together leaders in business, education and economic development to discuss how higher education is shaping the region’s workforce and provide a platform to address key trends, opportunities and challenges affecting both industry and education across Central Texas.
- Forty juniors from across Tuscaloosa City Schools and the Tuscaloosa County School System have been selected for the inaugural class of Leaders to Legends, an innovative program designed to empower students to become changemakers in their schools and communities. The program is a collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and The University of Alabama. Students will participate in monthly, hands-on sessions exploring Tuscaloosa’s economic, social, historical and political landscape.
- The Fayette Chamber released a new strategic plan designed to strengthen the chamber’s role as a catalyst for business growth, community engagement, and regional leadership. The plan aims to boost membership, improve marketing and communications, expand leadership development programing, strengthen advocacy efforts and more.
