  • The Lubbock Chamber will hold a Path to Public Service Workshop. This one-day workshop is built for aspiring political candidates and civic-minded individuals looking to make a difference. From running for office to serving on boards and commissions, participants will gain practical insight into what public service truly requires—and how to succeed in it.
  • Following the failure of the United States and Canada to reach a trade resolution by the August 1 deadline, the Ontario Chamber and Michigan Chamber released a joint statement calling for an end to trade uncertainty. ““Our chambers are deeply concerned that without a jointly negotiated settlement, escalating tariffs and prolonged instability will continue to disrupt critical sectors, from automotive and advanced manufacturing to agriculture and logistics.”
  • The Northern Kentucky Chamber released the Northern Kentucky Housing Blueprint, outlining top priorities the organization will champion to address the housing shortage across the region.
  • The Moore County Chamber partnered with Sandhills Community College to host a community conversation on childcare. The event brought together childcare providers, parents, business leaders and community partners to discuss the state childcare in the county and its impact on the workforce and economy.
  • The Florida Chamber Health Council will launch its Mental Wellness Institute, a business-led initiative focused on improving behavioral health outcomes for Florida’s workforce, veterans, first responders and youth. The project is built on the findings of the chamber’s first-of-its-kind business-led Behavioral Health Report, and it seeks to help Florida employers and communities turn research into real-world mental wellness solutions
  • The Bowling Green Area Chamber launched the Pathway to Progress campaign to raise $3.9 million to implement a five-year strategy, including enhancements to infrastructure, workforce development and innovation across south-central Kentucky.
  • The Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber surveyed regional businesses to assess the impacts of increased immigration enforcement. According to the early results, 49.5 percent of business owners reported that their businesses have been directly impacted by recent immigration enforcement activity and 57.7 percent reported “notable levels of fear and anxiety” among their employees.
  • The Greater North Fulton Chamber announced the creation of the Alpharetta Business Council following the dissolution of the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce. The new council will ensure Alpharetta’s unique identity and business culture are preserved, while also giving members access to the full suite of benefits and resources. All Alpharetta Chamber members will automatically become members of the Greater North Fulton Chamber.
  • The Hudson Area Chamber will host a luncheon to welcome new teachers to the Hudson School District. The goal is to wish teachers good luck as they start the new school year and shape the future workforce. Each teacher will receive a welcome bag from our chamber members and lunch catered by Afton House Inn/St. Croix River Cruises.
