  • The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber has established a 24-member Housing Council to address housing challenges in the Mahoning Valley. The council will focus on improving the quality, accessibility and attainability of local housing.
  • The Quad Cities Chamber is advocating legislation to establish the Illinois Middle-Income Housing Grant Pilot Program. The legislation would allocate $10 million over three years to fund housing initiatives. The funds could be used by eligible cities for new housing development, redevelopment of existing homes or even the conversion of commercial spaces into housing.
  • The Fort Bend Chamber, working with local colleges, was awarded $600,000 in workforce training funds to grow the cybersecurity and tech certification programs. Working with member companies and education partners, they identified the need for technology workers and sought grant funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
  • The Missouri Chamber and Columbia Chamber are supporting legislation to create three new child care tax credits. The credits would support businesses that help pay for their employees’ child care or create child care programs for employee ‘s children. They would also encourage existing child care providers to grow their capacity.
  • The Billings Chamber said key priorities for the 2025 legislative session include public safety, housing supply and workforce issues.
  • The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber launched a new podcast called The Leader Within. The podcast will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the transformative, 10-month professional development program that’s shaping the next generation of leaders in the region.
  • The Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Belchertown are joining forces to strengthen local business and support economic growth through a new partnership aimed at connecting and expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs across the region.
  • The Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama hosted its inaugural Chamber Day at the Capitol, bringing 125 chamber professionals and volunteer leaders from 40 chambers to the state capital to discuss issues important to the future of the state.
