  • The Greater Boston Chamber relaunched Business for Federal Research Funding, a national coalition of more than 50 chambers of commerce supporting federal research funding.
  • The San Angelo Chamber and the City of San Angelo are partnering for a new study to help guide city leaders, developers and businesses in making informed decisions to meet the city’s evolving housing needs.
  • The North Carolina Chamber will host the Business Summit on Mental Health later this month. The event will gather industry leaders, policymakers and experts to explore best practices for improving workplace well-being and addressing the evolving mental health landscape in North Carolina.
  • The St. Paul and Minneapolis chambers are exploring a merger. The two chamber CEOs said the outcome could be a full joint venture; the current status quo; or something in the middle, like pooling backroom operations.
  • The Falmouth Chamber is merging with the Cape Cod Chamber this summer. The plan came out of a desire to combat rising costs, increase efficiency and bring more resources to each chamber without losing the close relationship the Falmouth Chamber has with the town’s community

  • The Toledo Regional Chamber and the Lucas County Commissioners launched the Benefits Bridge Pilot Program to address the “benefits cliff,” the phenomenon of individuals declining wage increases, promotions or increased hours at work due to the fear of having public assistance benefits they receive drastically reduced or taken away. In its first six months, the program has enrolled and begun assisting approximately 50 individuals.
  • May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the Salt Lake Chamber is encouraging employers to evaluate the practices, policies and resources to explore how effectively they are promoting mental wellness to employees.
  • The Knoxville Chamber released its new strategic vision titled Prosperity Through Innovation, a multi-year road map designed to support the Knoxville Chamber mission of driving regional economic prosperity.
