  • The Baton Rouge Area Chamber unveiled its new regional, five-year strategic plan: BRING IT! It tackles the big problems, facilitates the tough conversations and charts a path to lead the business community to increasingly greater heights.
  • The Ohio Chamber successfully supported legislation to require political subdivisions to recognize state-level certifications of minority business enterprises (MBEs), women-owned business enterprises (WBEs) and veteran-friendly business enterprises (VBEs).
  • The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced the launch of the Scale DSM Minority Business Accelerator powered by Interise. The accelerator aims to help businesses gain access to knowledge, management know-how and networks needed to increase revenue, create jobs and positively impact the community.
  • The Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee developed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion toolkit to help businesses navigate their DEI journey.
  • The Billings Chamber launched a new online diversity, equity and inclusion resource center that features a toolkit, resources, ways to connect in the community, relocation support and more.
  • Chattanooga Area Chamber Vice President of Economic Development Charles Wood discussed the critical elements that have positioned the city for long-term success as a leading start-up ecosystem.
  • The Rogersville/Hawkins County Chamber has been working to support business growth and improve downtown Rogersville through efforts to restore historic building, upgrade the facades of downtown businesses, promote businesses in the downtown area, fill vacant buildings and rectify the limited downtown parking.
  • The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is making an important effort to help underemployed individuals who may risk losing benefits by accepting overtime or a promotion while also assisting business owners to overcome staffing problems. Working with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Partnership launched a free Benefits Cliff Calculator to help employers and employees identify benefits cliffs. They also hope it will help lawmakers understand the urgent need for policy changes to lessen the impact of the benefits cliff moving forward.
  • The Kentucky Chamber Foundation sought applications for the 2023 class of its Leadership Institute for School Principals program. The program is an executive-level leadership training program that focuses on developing and mastering key leadership dynamics in school principals across Kentucky.
