18 Chamber Leaders Selected for Economic Mobility Fellowship

The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Foundation selected 18 chamber professionals from communities throughout the United States to participate in a fellowship program on economic mobility.
The Fellowship for Economic Mobility is an immersive program that provides chamber of commerce professionals education and tools to improve workforce ecosystems and remove barriers to access living wage jobs. Fellows will be better positioned to support workers and employers in adapting to the new realities of work.
With the support of the Truist Foundation, ACCE Foundation will help chamber professionals determine how they can best advance economic mobility. Fellows will consider how to transform workforce development and talent ecosystems by using data, leveraging partnerships and other practices. During the six-month fellowship, participants will create a roadmap to implement workforce strategies. The goal is to create economic advancement opportunities for low-income workers in their region.
“Economic mobility is essential to unlocking broader economic prosperity,” said Sheree Anne Kelly, ACCE’s president & CEO. “Chambers of commerce are catalytic leaders ideally suited to both address pressing talent challenges for low-income workers and ensure thriving and equitable local economies.”
Leaders selected to participate in the fellowship represent communities from 12 states.
