Add Membership Value with Savings Partnership

Non-Dues Revenue / August 30, 2021

When it comes to member value, chambers are constantly working to ensure business owners are getting useful benefits with their membership. That might be networking opportunities, connections to other businesses and customers, marketing and events or community impact work that chambers take on. Businesses (and chambers!) are usually looking to keep overhead costs down and partnering with Hub 365 is a way to provide purchasing power to members.

Hub 365, formerly known as the National Chamber Program, might be synonymous with the Office Depot/Office Max program. A recent rebrand and expansion now provides savings beyond office supplies thanks to a partnership with Abenity. Those perks range from trips to the zoo or movie tickets, oil changes and car rentals and more.

“Our partnership with Abenity allows access to additional savings for travel, fitness, automotive, entertainment, grocery and dining, electronics, you name it,” said Fadi Hamdi, Hub 365’s manager of affiliate relations. “Based upon your membership, we help small and medium businesses and chambers save and make money, so that’s what we’re here to do.”

Hamdi says chambers have gotten creative when it comes to promoting this affinity partnership to members. The LA Area Chamber worked with local Office Depot stores to create displays with the chamber logo and show product pricing for businesses that are members. In Tulsa, the Hub 365 team worked with the chamber to identify key members that would benefit from the savings. But ultimately, chamber staff know members best, including how to reach them.

“We customize your materials with your logo from your chamber and would look to so the same with the Abenity program,” said Kelly Sierota, the director of group purchasing sales and strategy.

The Office Depot program is staying the same and Abenity can also be managed for chambers by the Hub 365 team. Abenity can be utilized by chambers and staff, businesses and employees.

“Our mission is to really provide our chamber partners with value adds for their members and aid in membership retention,” said Hamdi.
