Collaboration and benchmarking are key tools in navigating the constantly changing landscape of chamber work. Representing the business community in any part of the country provides challenges and engaging opportunities. Whether you’ve been with your chamber for six days or 16 years, ACCE’s Sales Training conference is a fantastic resource.
Plan to join fellow membership sales and retention staff from across the country in Charleston, SC, March 13-14. Sessions will focus on recruiting for the long term by identifying prospects that will help you increase retention and grow your organization. Other sessions include best-in-class strategies for coaching, negotiating, premium sales, and branding; as well as opportunities to network with like-size chambers and those who have been in the business both long-term and short-term.

Updates, Events, and Resources:
Message from our Advisory Board Chair-Elect. The MDD Mentorship Program, which matches seasoned chamber membership professionals with those in earlier stages of their careers, is underway! Thank you for your interest and applications. We are in the process of sending out information on matches to all who applied. We matched as many mentees with mentors as we could and hope to expand and continue to improve upon the program next year. Applications for next year’s program will be available in December 2018. Sales Conference 2018 – Early bird deadline is coming up! Our 2018 Sales Training Conference will take place in historic Charleston, South Carolina on March 13-14, 2018. We have a great agenda and will offer many networking opportunities, so we hope you can join us! Don’t wait to register – early bird registration rates are good only through Friday, February 16, and the conference hotel block ends on Monday, February 19, or whenever it is full.
2017-2018 Sales Contest. We are nearing the end of the third quarter of our 2017-2018 Sales Contest! Current standings are available for download here. The deadline to submit Quarter 3 sales (December 1 – February 28) is March 9, 2018. Check out our Sales Contest page for more details. The form link to submit your Q3 numbers is here. MDD Roundtable. During our last Division-wide roundtable call on February 6, Kelly Fanelli led a lively discussion on a variety of sales challenges, including recruiting a great membership sales team, innovative ideas for new member orientations, organization of ambassador programs, and more.
