Join your peers for this best practice-sharing roundtable conference call.
Our guest speaker will be Sheena Collier, director of economic growth at the Greater Boston Chamber and managing director of City Awake, a program of the chamber designed to empower the next generation of leaders in Greater Boston.
Sheena will discuss the recent Fierce Urgency of Now (FUN), a six-day festival featuring programming designed to highlight the experiences, challenges and possibilities for millennials of color in Boston. The festival featured more than 40 events hosted by partners across the city. From panel discussions featuring people of color in investment management to a celebration of Boston's arts and culture community, the events brought people together from different background and industry sectors to discuss important topics, make connections and have fun. We will learn more about the origins of the event and the tactics used to gain traction.
After hearing from Sheena, we will open it up to hear what other chambers are working on to engage and empower young professionals of color. Please come ready to share your ideas or challenges with your peers.
This is an open participation roundtable conference call, not a seminar. Come prepared to share your thoughts and experiences, and build your professional network! We look forward to your participation.
