Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Annual Convention in Des Moines, Iowa

Interested in inspiring chamber pros? Have a success story, great idea, or proven strategy you’d like to share? Pitch your proposal and if selected, you’ll be invited to join us in Des Moines for the ACCE Annual Convention

What we’re looking for:

  • Interactive, energetic, instructive presentations
  • Clear takeaways for participants
  • Unique ideas, out-of-the box proposals
  • Proposals that explore themes described in the Horizon Initiative report

Consider this:

  • Proposals must be received no later than Friday, January 12
  • Annual Convention is Tuesday, July 17 to Friday, July 20 in Des Moines
  • Invitations to join us will be sent Friday, February 9; ACCE must receive confirmation no later than Friday, February 16
  • All speakers must submit a headshot and brief bio, as well as presentation material, no later than Friday, May 18
  • We’re cutting edge: our convention app – which allows guests and presenters to easily connect – has high adoption and usage rates among attendees; our convention site and marketing material lists all important details about speakers and sessions
  • Speakers will be encouraged to actively engage on social media by sharing posts, using the #ACCE18 hashtag, and connecting with convention attendees
  • Workshops are recorded and posted to the professional development course catalog, after Annual Convention
  • Proposals that resemble sales pitches will not be accepted

The audience:

  • Nearly 1,000 attendees from organizations of all shapes and sizes gather for the Annual Convention
  • Audience size ranges from 20 to 200 guests for each session
  • Guests come from all over the world, but most live and work in the U.S. and Canada
  • Attendees include professionals representing chambers of commerce of all sizes
  • Attendees include executives and other C-Suite professionals, directors, and managers
  • Job functions include membership, communications, marketing, workforce and education, community and economic development, events, communications and marketing, in addition to other functions
  • Annual Convention activities include special events, dinners, social outings, tours and a ton of high-quality educational content
