This sample contains pre and post-event press releases for the Alexandria Chamber's Small Business Saturday Kickoff Celebration. Small businesses, with limited budgets for marketing, are often at a disadvantage compared to larger chain stores. This is especially apparent during the holiday season when marketing to attract holiday shoppers is at its highest. With this in mind, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce developed a Small Business Saturday Kickoff Celebration, through a coordinated partnership with the Small Business Administration, American Express, and the Small Business Saturday Coalition. Our objective was to increase awareness of Alexandria businesses and drive shoppers to our local stores on Small Business Saturday. By providing cross-marketing opportunities for Alexandria businesses, we leveraged all the City's marketing resources to attract shoppers to our city.
