The Deep Creek Experience Website Redesign: Synopsis - Garrett County Chamber of Commerce

2016 ACE: Award of Excellence

In July 2014, the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce launched a completely redesigned version of visitdeepcreek.com featuring our new county-wide brand: The Deep Creek Experience. Since the launch in 2014, we have added new features, pages, forms and content for the visitors to our site including tourists, chamber members and local residents. We deemed new website complete in the spring of 2015 but continually update content, photos and features to keep the site fresh.

Savannah Hauntings Video Series - Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce

2016 ACE: Grand Award

With live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, stately homes lining shady, park-like squares and centuries-old cemeteries strewn with stone monuments to residents passed, Savannah's Southern Gothic has long enticed and intrigued visitors. Savannah has been named "America's Most Haunted City," and people love to stay in this city's haunted inns, take ghost walking tours, hearse tours and trolley tours, and seek out some even more paranormal experiences. This video series allowed Visit Savannah to bring "America’s Most Haunted City" to life, so to speak. All of the locations featured are open to visitors to experience.

Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail Mobile App: Synopsis - Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce

2016 ACE: Grand Award

In 2015 the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce received a $168,000 grant to enhance the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail and strengthen the craft beer, wine, spirits and cider industry in the southern Adirondacks and northern Capital District in NY. This trail experience acts as a connector to 27 purveyors in our region and establishes a tourism destination for individuals drawn to locations for a craft beverage experience. To enhance the project in year two, 2015-16, we developed a mobile application and a standalone website to further encourage regional tourism, through technology, in the craft beverage industry. Additional marketing efforts were implemented throughout NY, MA, CT, and NJ through newspaper ads, web ads, and other media. Partnerships have also been developed with Warren, Washington, and Saratoga County Tourism departments to expand marketing efforts.

Here's Our Proof Campaign: Synopsis - Commerce Lexington Inc.

2016 ACE: Grand Award

In 2015, Lexington's Keeneland Race Course hosted The Breeders' Cup World Championships, which is the Super Bowl of thoroughbred racing over two days. With an international audience set to descend on our community, Commerce Lexington Inc.'s economic development team recognized the unique opportunity to market our community to horse owners and investors. With a mission to recruit new companies to Lexington, as well as assist our existing businesses grow, Commerce Lexington Inc. targeted these people, because many of them own and manage corporations. As part of our sponsorship of The Breeders' Cup, we developed a marketing campaign called "Here's Our Proof," a play on words that highlighted another of Kentucky's signature industries -- bourbon. Leveraging the powerful 'hook' of bourbon, our team developed a bourbon gift box to leave in the owners' hotel rooms.

As part of our sponsorship of The Breeders' Cup, we developed a marketing campaign called "Here's Our Proof," a play on words that highlighted another of Kentucky's signature industries -- bourbon. Leveraging the powerful 'hook' of bourbon, our team developed a bourbon gift box to leave in the owners' hotel rooms. With "Here's Our Proof" etched on the wooden box with a purple wax seal, the wording was meant to get people thinking about 'proof' in two ways -- bourbon proof and proof of success about our city. For both, it's about the quality of the product -- "what makes Lexington great for business?" Inside the box, a miniature Maker's Mark bourbon bottle dipped in purple wax and tasting glass were combined with a booklet about our region's success, encouraging companies to consider Lexington for business.

60 More Days of Summer Fall Campaign, CoY 2015 Synopsis 1 - Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Category 4 Winner, 2015 Chamber of the Year, Program/Initiative Summary for Synopsis #1 is: "The Myrtle Beach area welcomes the majority of its visitors during the peak summer season, with visitation precipitously declining after Labor Day. While summers are always popular, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) faced the challenge of attracting visitors during the less-traveled fall shoulder season, even though hotel rates are lower, beaches are less crowded, and the near-perfect summer-like weather is abundant. Due to the successful launch of the MBACC’s “60 More Days of Summer” 2014 fall tourism campaign, shoulder season visitation significantly increased, leading to increased revenues, local job growth, and near record-setting tax collections."

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Category 4 Winner, 2015 Chamber of the Year, Program/Initiative Summary for Synopsis #2 is: "The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce’s (MBACC) collaboration with the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), Horry County, and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday focuses on development of a long-term air service program to expand air service options for visitors, businesses, and residents. Affordable transportation is critical to building the area’s tourism economy, while also supporting economic development expansion and relocation initiatives. Despite recent economic challenges resulting in the closing of two airlines (Vision, Direct Air), the air service development program has focused on attracting and retaining low-cost airlines and has delivered significant economic growth for Myrtle Beach area businesses."
