2017 School Tax Renewals - Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County

2018 ACE Award of Excellence

The goal of this campaign was to make sure important school tax renewals on the ballot passed, and hopefully, in a big way, so there would be no doubt our citizens support public education. This sends a strong message to companies looking at the Huntsville/Madison County area as a possible location and companies located here now as they look to recruit that our community cares about funding schools.

2018 ACE Award of Excellence

The leaders of 25 metropolitan chambers of commerce from Canada, the United States and Mexico gathered in Montreal today in anticipation of the next round of NAFTA negotiations. The goal of this meeting was to clearly identify the issues surrounding the renewal of NAFTA, to understand the risks for businesses in the event of the current negotiations' failure, and especially to send a clear message to the three governments on the importance of an updated agreement and maintaining open access to the entire North American market. At the end of this meeting, all chambers present signed a joint statement stressing the importance of maintaining the North American Free Trade Agreement for the economies of the three countries and their cities. Can't Afford to Wait Campaign: Synopsis - North Carolina Chamber

2016 ACE: Grand Award

North Carolina is one of the fastest growing states in the nation, with our population projected to add 2 million more residents by 2030. For a number of years now, the NC Chamber and our members in the business community have recognized the daunting challenge that an underfunded transportation network poses to a competitive future for our fast-growing state. As the NC Chamber made securing long-term transportation reform measures the centerpiece of our JOBS Agenda, we directed a clear and consistent message toward elected leaders throughout session: face this challenge with courage and work to solve it now, or watch our competitiveness suffer as our transportation problems continue to get worse.

Defeat the Margin Tax Initiative: Synopsis - Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

As a Chamber of Commerce, it is our responsibility to protect our members from flawed initiatives and promote a healthy climate where businesses can grow and thrive. Our leadership role in the Coalition to Defeat the Margin Tax Initiative is a government affairs endeavor developed in response to an initiative petition that was circulated by the Nevada Teachers’ Union proposing a 2 percent tax on business revenues. The Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce was a leader in the effort to build a strong, statewide coalition of businesses, associations and individuals committed to protecting Nevada’s still recovering economy from the deeply flawed measure. Voters would decide the fate of the tax in the November General Election. The Chamber partnered with the Nevada Resort Association, the Nevada Mining Association and the Retail Association of Nevada to create the Coalition to Defeat the Margin Tax Initiative.

2015 Legislative Agenda - Southwest Indiana Chamber

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

In 2014, the Southwest Indiana Chamber launched an aggressive rebrand campaign to position the nearly century-old organization as modern, progressive, and a resource for businesses just as relevant in 2014 as it was when founded in 1915. As the “new” Chamber brand identity emerged, our attention shifted to effectively communicating with members on each of our five focus areas, which include advocacy and public policy. Like in many communities, advocacy initiatives were strongly supported by a solid, loyal group of volunteers and members, but not always viewed as a source of great excitement and interest by our broader membership base.
