The basic function of the Communications & Marketing Director is to oversee communications efforts of the Chamber and to lead in the development of all promotional literature, online postings and the writing and distribution of all press releases and media inclusions.
The Events Director oversees the special events of the Chamber and ensures the highest value to the attendees and sponsors in form of recognition and professional execution. He/she assists in the development of promotional literature with emphasis on creating value-based sponsorship packages. He/she manages current, and develops new training programs for the good of the membership.
The basic function of the Executive Vice President/COO is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Chamber to assure a professional atmosphere within the organization that translates to excellent service to our members and to assist with the financial development of the organization through revenue generation and expense control.
The Member Services Coordinator provides administrative support and assists in the overall professional operations of the Chamber. His/her focus is on all activities associated with member accounts including activation of new and dropped members, and billing support to the business office. He/she acts as lead staff contact for VYPG.
The President & CEO is the chief executive officer and administrative officer for the Chamber. He/she is expected to provide visionary leadership for the Chamber and the business community and is responsible to the Board of Directors for the full range of activities needed to ensure the Chamber’s success in meeting its objectives outlined in its annual Business Plan and Strategic Plan. He/she is responsible for planning, interpretation of policy, organizational structure, budget and finances, volunteer development and membership growth, the employment, development and supervision of staff and the maintenance of the Chamber’s headquarters.
The Vice President of Government Relations functions as a political lobbyist and liaison with all levels of government leaders. He/she insures the interest and policies of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, as developed by the Board of Directors, are advocated at all levels of local, state, and federal governments. He/she is responsible for programs relating to local, state and federal government issues, local school district issues and promoting community relations between government, education and the business community.
The function of the Director of Business Development & Tourism is to be the primary point of contact with the membership at large; to initiate, help administer and implement programs that are proactive and responsive to members needs; and to help coordinate and develop special events.
The Communications / Membership Coordinator manages reception operations, directs visitor center employees, ensures exceptional membership services and recruitment, and oversees digital communications platforms (website, e-communications, social media).
The Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for effectively and courteously greeting callers and visitors to the Chamber’s offices and for serving as the first point of contact for the Chamber and our community. He/she provides assistance and support to and works collaboratively with the Chamber President & CEO and other members of the Chamber staff. He/she is responsible for a broad range of administrative, clerical, organizational and professional duties required to ensure the Chamber’s ability to achieve its mission and objectives on behalf of its members, the community and the organization itself.
The Communications & Operations Coordinator works collaboratively with the President & CEO and all staff to keep the Chamber’s membership informed of all Chamber initiatives, programs, services and benefits and to effectively promote the organization, its vision and mission to its members, the local business community, the public and the media. He/she is responsible for continually expanding the range of Chamber communications to include all forms of electronic, social media and printed communications to ensure effective, timely and comprehensive communication of information on the Chamber, its objectives, its members and its activities. He/she is responsible for fulfilling various responsibilities related to the maintenance of the Chamber’s financial records and activities, membership and non-dues invoicing and process of receipts. Finally, he/she is providing assistance and support to and works collaboratively with the Chamber President & CEO and other members of the Chamber staff. He/she is responsible for a broad range of administrative, clerical, organizational and professional duties required to ensure the Chamber’s ability to achieve its mission and objectives on behalf of its members, the community and the organization itself.
