Missouri Business Magazine Redesign: July - Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

In 2014, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry re-launched our bimonthly publication -- Missouri Business magazine. Our revisions gave the magazine a more journalistic-feel, intended to position the magazine as Missouri’s premier statewide business publication. The design update calls for larger photos and regular use of infographics. It allows for each issue to have a unique color scheme while retaining a cohesive look. The revitalized print magazine was accompanied by the launch of a new website (www.mobizmagazine.com) and social media accounts promoting the magazine.

Datascape Report 2014 - Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

The Datascape report is designed as the data companion piece for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Leadership Study Mission. For the past 23 years, the Chamber has led a group of local and regional leaders to other cities to examine best practices around topics that are relevant to Nashville and middle Tennessee. Led by the Nashville Chamber’s Research Center, whose work has appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, Billboard Magazine, and The Atlantic, Datascape provides a platform for understanding and comparing information across topics and geographies. Contents of the publication included topics such as breakdowns of population profiles including demographics, migration and poverty rates, educational data, cost-of-living and income indicators, spending and commuting patterns. Business profiles were also addressed, including employment rates, gross regional products, and industry trends and characteristics. See also the 2016 report.

2015 Legislative Agenda - Southwest Indiana Chamber

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

In 2014, the Southwest Indiana Chamber launched an aggressive rebrand campaign to position the nearly century-old organization as modern, progressive, and a resource for businesses just as relevant in 2014 as it was when founded in 1915. As the “new” Chamber brand identity emerged, our attention shifted to effectively communicating with members on each of our five focus areas, which include advocacy and public policy. Like in many communities, advocacy initiatives were strongly supported by a solid, loyal group of volunteers and members, but not always viewed as a source of great excitement and interest by our broader membership base.

Thank You to Volunteers Video - Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

Post-tornado, the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce and other partners in the region began an effort to thank the hundreds of thousands of volunteers that came to help with the clean up and rebuilding efforts. The first attempt to thank these volunteers was a simple thank-you postcard with personalized messages. This was done just six months after the May 2011 tornado. In 2014, the Joplin Area Chamber decided a broader campaign to thank volunteers was needed. The Chamber worked with a member advertising agency and the city, school and healthcare partners to create a short video to thank those volunteers who came, and continue to come and help with rebuilding efforts.
