The Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, Category 1 Winner, 2015 Chamber of the Year, Program/Initiative Summary for Synopsis #1 is: “In 2012 the Chamber launched a communitywide marketing initiative called “Prosperity’s Front Door (PFD).” This program was the outcome of a community assessment and the input of hundreds of volunteers. The framework for PFD consists of six pillars -- healthcare, education, housing, quality of life, shopping, and business. In the spring of 2013 the Chamber’s Economic Prosperity Council focused on the healthcare pillar because of Coweta’s increasing healthcare community. In 2014 a plan was developed to strategically market Coweta’s healthcare assets, increase efforts to grow Coweta’s economy, enhance the reputation of Coweta’s healthcare community, and create more healthcare capacity.”

The Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, Category 1 Winner, 2015 Chamber of the Year, Program/Initiative Summary for Synopsis #2 is: “The Chamber launched an effort to utilize the Central Educational Center (CEC) as a platform to build a sustainable/comprehensive healthcare workforce development initiative. A Chamber creation, CEC is the model for Georgia’s College and Career Academy Initiative. Through a grant the Chamber provided seed funding for “scholarships” that allowed CEC high school students, dual enrolled in a college certificate program, to fund the cost of successfully completing the national Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam. Post grant, funding by a foundation and local healthcare corporations allowed growth in the college certificate program and increased the number of younger CNA completers.”

Health Connect and Private Exchange Implementation: First Care Radio Spot - Lubbock Chamber of Commerce

2015 ACE: Award of Excellence

In light of the Affordable Care Act taking effect, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and FirstCare Health Plans wants to ensure that the Chamber Employer Health Plan remains an affordable and sustainable solution for West Texas businesses now and in the future. The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with partner FirstCare Health Plans conducted an 11-week campaign to promote the new Health Connect and Private Exchange for renewing members of the Chamber Employer Health Plan. The new FirstCare Health Connect portal gave businesses access to 10 new plans, as well as eight existing plans for currently enrolled groups.
