While summers are always popular, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) faced the challenge of attracting visitors during the less-traveled fall shoulder season, even though hotel rates are lower, beaches are less crowded, and the near-perfect summer-like weather is abundant. Due to the successful launch of the MBACC’s “60 More Days of Summer” 2014 fall tourism campaign, shoulder season visitation significantly increased, leading to increased revenues, local job growth, and near record-setting tax collections."
