Businesses began prioritizing talent attraction and retention as a major regional issue that the Greater Omaha Chamber needed to place a stronger focus on. In 2012, MarketStreet Services analyzed the available talent in our region. These findings identified a crucial need to place a larger emphasis on talent and workforce. Putting MarketStreet Services findings into action, the Chamber’s five-year economic development strategy had to include a well-thought out plan to address the region’s talent and workforce needs. The Prosper Omaha campaign launched in 2014 with four main priorities, one of them being to grow, recruit and retain the talent and workforce needed to the future."
