This document clarifies the Chamber's policy regarding leaves of absence. It is the Chamber's policy to consider leaves of absence for all employees on a non-discriminatory basis. Leaves of absence will be considered in cases of medical disabilities (including pregnancy) and in case of personal emergency, military duty, jury duty, witness duty or bereavement. Unless specifically provided otherwise, all leaves of absence are available only on an unpaid basis.
The Chamber actively supports the professional development of its staff through career planning, on-the-job training and formal education. By offering a Tuition Reimbursement Plan, the Chamber will provide tuition reimbursement to qualified employees who wish to attend courses or participate in degree programs that enhance their current responsibilities or that meet the business needs of the organization.
