“Damned if you do and damned if you don’t” often seems to be the choice for chamber executives when it comes to advocacy. The membership expects their chamber to stand up for them on the business issues that impact the bottom line. Yet, the nature of the political and legislative arenas is such that the consequence of standing up is the risk of getting knocked down.
