Destination Cities Council

The ACCE Destination Cities Council will serve as a forum to discuss and collectively address key issues uniquely impacting communities where tourism is the primary economic driver. Members of this group communicate via a group email list and quarterly conference calls. An in-person meeting will occur at our annual convention for those who are able to attend. Membership in the group is by invitation only, contact ACCE staff liaison Michelle Vegliante if you are interested in more information.

  • Establish an ongoing dialog around the most current issues facing resort communities
  • Collect and document examples of best practice work surrounding those issues
  • Discuss and share best practices, programs, and other initiatives that chambers can take away and easily implement in their community
  • Develop a professional network of fellow chamber executives
  • Share and/or conduct relevant research to support stated objectives

Participation Criteria

This group will be comprised of CEO’s and senior leaders of Chambers operating in communities where tourism is the driving economic force. Chambers will self-identify as fitting this criterion.
