ACCE has a new official corporate sponsor that offers both non-dues revenue and benefits to many chambers' members: Group Transportation Services (GTS). This firm's affinity program is already in use at two of the largest chambers in the nation, the Greater Cleveland Partnership (through its Council of Smaller Enterprises) and the Detroit Regional Chamber.
Henryville, Ind., one of the hardest-hit towns of last week's deadly tornado outbreak, falls within the area covered by ACCE member One Southern Indiana. In an email to ACCE, Michael Dalby, CCE, former president and CEO of One Southern Indiana, mentioned that he spoke with Matt Hall, the chamber's current interim president, and said that "while all the chamber staff there are accounted for, without any injuries, they face a long road to recovery."
On Feb. 1, chamber CEOs received the link to the 2011-12 Chamber Operations Survey. Chambers of commerce use the survey data for strategic planning, benchmarking and comparisons with other chambers of similar size.
ACCE recently welcomed two new staff memebrs: Alysia Bell and Roxanne Rash.
