An ACCE delegation of 22 chamber executives and their guests visited Israel, Dec. 4-11, where they saw many of the sights of the Holy Land, and met business people and government officials. It was a
powerful experience.
“It was life changing,” said Doris Carson Williams, president of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania.
Lyn Arnold, president and CEO of the Tunica (MS) Chamber of Commerce, said, “The knowledge we gained on spiritual, political, historical and economic Israel was just amazing and really opened my heart and mind.”
Some of the highlights included:
- a visit with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat
- a briefing on trade by officials of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv
- a meeting with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and its president, Uriel Lynn, along with a gathering of Israeli entrepreneurs, as reported in the Jerusalem Post
- visits to Caesarea, Nazareth, Haifa, Tel Aviv, The Dead Sea, Masada, the Old City of Jerusalem, the Wailing Wall, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane and Bethlehem
