About DCB

ACCE’s Dynamic Chamber Benchmarking (DCB) helps chamber leaders evaluate, benchmark and improve their organizations. Members use these free benchmarking tools to monitor trends, compare performance and make better decisions.

Annual Surveys

Operations Survey: Contains data on organizational structure, governance, financials, revenue sources, membership models, retention and more.

Salary Survey: Covers compensation and benefits for chamber CEOs/Executive Directors and staff across various functional areas.

How It Works

ACCE members submit their survey data, which ACCE compiles into customizable reports, dynamic metric comparisons and research publications.

Members who complete the surveys get free access to the results and publications.

Using the Data

Chamber leaders use data from DCB to:

  • Inform strategic planning efforts and support board presentations
  • Make the case for adjusting staffing levels and salary ranges
  • Track key operations and financial metrics over time
  • Benchmark data against similar sized organizations

FAQs

How do I access the benchmarking platform?

ACCE members access Dynamic Chamber Benchmarking directly through their Member Portal. Once logged into the portal, select "Benchmarking" from the top navigation bar to be directed to the benchmarking platform.

How do I know if my survey is complete?

Surveys are complete when you have answered all required data points. There is no final submit button.

The progress bar on your survey homepage will indicate your position and access to results.

When do the surveys open?

The annual surveys in Dynamic Chamber Benchmarking open at the beginning of each calendar year. The FY2025 Operations and Salary Surveys opened in January 2026 and will continue to capture data on a rolling basis.

The Salary Survey is only visible to chamber CEOs and their designees. To assign a new designee, CEOs can email our team at [email protected]. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response.

How do I access the survey results?

Results are available to organizations that have completed all required data points in the annual benchmarking surveys. Results can be found in the "Metric Comparisons" and "Reports" tabs of the platform. Detailed instructions are available in our library of DCB support resources.

The results of both the FY2024 Operations Survey and Salary Survey are now open. FY2025 results will be collected and made available in calendar year 2026.

Where are my organization's data and reports prior to FY2022?

Benchmarking data and reports prior to FY2022 have been archived. To request historical benchmarking information, email our team at [email protected]. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
