CEO Peer Groups

ACCE's Community Peer Groups are organized by chamber budget and service areas.

Metro Cities Council

The Metro Cities Council is a networking group for CEOs at Chambers representing the largest metropolitan areas in the country. Members of this group typically communicate via a group email list and occasional conference calls. In-person meetings occur at least twice a year. Staff Contact: Will Burns [email protected].

Participation criteria for the group include:

  • Participants: CEOs only
  • Chamber: Budget of $2 million or higher and represents the entire metro area or the main (original) city within the MSA
  • Community: Metro area population of 500,000 or higher

 


Major Cities Council

The Major Cities Council is comprised of CEOs of regional chambers in metropolitan areas with more than a quarter million residents. Members of this group typically communicate via regular conference calls and in-person meetings occur twice each year. Staff Contact: Will Burns [email protected].

Participation criteria for the group include:

  • Chamber President/CEOs only
  • Budget of $1 million or higher
  • Metro area population of 250,000 - 500,000

Emerging Cities Council

The Emerging Cities Council is for selected chamber CEOs who run the main chamber in small to mid-sized cities. Members of this group communicate via a group email list, monthly conference calls and an in-person meeting at our annual convention. Staff Contact: Amy Shields at [email protected]

Participation criteria for the group include:

  • Participants: CEOs
  • Chamber membership: Membership of about 1,000
  • Community: Population of metro/greater area of 100,000 - 250,000
  • Chamber revenue: about $750,000

Hometown Chamber Council

The Hometown Chambers Council is for selected chamber CEOs that typically run their chamber while wearing a multitude of hats; economic development, advocacy, business development, tourism director. Members of this group communicate via a group email list and occasional conference calls. An in-person meeting will occur at our annual convention. Staff Contact: Will Burns [email protected].

Participation criteria for the group include:

  • Participants: CEOs and Executive Directors
  • Chamber: Total annual revenue under $600k
  • Community: Population under 100,000
