With more than 1,200 member chambers, ACCE represents the leading business organizations in 92 of the top 100 metro areas in the U.S., as well as in many smaller communities throughout North America. The combined budgets of ACCE members exceed $1 billion. For many ACCE sponsors and exhibitors, however, it’s not just chambers of commerce that are a key market; it’s the members of those chambers—businesses of every size and description.

ACCE member chambers represent:
  • 920,000 organizations
  • About 2 million executives
  • 70 million employees

Chamber members are considered by the general public to be “quality” businesses, according to studies conducted by the Schapiro Group, an Atlanta-based marketing consulting firm. The most recent study indicated that consumers who believed a company to be a chamber member were:

  • 80% more likely to BUY from it
  • 73% more likely to be AWARE of it
  • 68% more likely to THINK HIGHLY of its local reputation

A study by Cortera, Inc., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based company that provides credit information for businesses, has shown that chamber members have credit ratings that are 70 points higher than the average company.

What types of firms make up chambers of commerce? All kinds of them. Here’s a look at the composite membership of ACCE chambers:
