Institute for Healing Racism at the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce (Mich.) is known as the area's leading program for uncovering racism and understanding its impact on individuals and the workplace. Thousands of people have attended the two-day "Facing Racism" seminar since 1997. The 2017 D.E.I. (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) Summit also provides Chamber members and the community with a deeper understanding of the business case for diversity, equity and inclusion and honors businesses with Diversity Visionary Awards for those making organizational strides in diversity initiatives.
