Minority Business Development Programs
Inclusive regions prosper. According to a new ACCE commissioned report, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION FOR THE 21ST CENTURY ECONOMY: An Imperative for Chambers of Commerce
(Feb. 2017), cities and regions that embrace diversity do better economically. The report outlines the business case for why chambers need a strategy to leverage diversity and champion inclusion.
As the world becomes increasingly diverse, the number of minority-owned businesses is on the rise. This September 2017 ACCE Spotlight blog post
highlights two ongoing and successful chamber-led programs that are working to advance the state of minority-owned businesses in their regions, at the West Michigan Minority Contractors Association and the Greater Tampa Chamber Minority Business Accelerator.
