Nikki Devitt, IOM, Presented ACCE's Board Chair Award

Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce (Mich.) President & CEO Nikki Devitt, IOM, received the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2026 Board Chair's Award during the association's annual meeting on July 21 in New Orleans.
The award is given annually to an individual or group that has made a significant contribution to the betterment of the chamber profession. 2025-26 ACCE Chair Jim Rooney, president & CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, presented the award.
In his remarks, Rooney reflected on Devitt's impact on ACCE and the chamber industry through her leadership on the board of directors, engagement in peer networks and commitment to strengthening the chamber profession.
"With her inspiring and motivating spirit and a voice that is uniquely her own, she is an ACCE leader who genuinely wants every chamber to reach new heights," said Rooney.
He cited Devitt's many contributions over the past year, noting her role as a member of ACCE's board of directors and the important perspective she brings to strategic planning discussions. "She challenges us to think differently, ensuring that the needs, opportunities and realities of rural and smaller chambers are reflected in the decisions shaping our association's future," said Rooney.
He also recognized her leadership within ACCE's Government Relations Division and her work in launching a new Government Relations Toolkit to help chambers of all sizes strengthen their advocacy efforts. In addition, Devitt serves as chair of ACCE's Hometown Chambers Council.
