  • Greater Rochester Chamber President and CEO Bob Duffy discussed the positive impact chambers make on New York’s economy in a recent op-ed, using details from ACCE’s recent public opinion poll to describe the value of chambers.  
  • The Indiana Chamber recently released its 2025 public policy goals, which focus on economic growth, workforce development, quality of place and strengthening infrastructure.
  • The Greater Miami Chamber surveyed over 100 of its members to better understand the profound impact of childcare challenges on workforce productivity. The results were striking and underscored the urgent need for action: 75% of respondents reported that childcare barriers are significantly affecting their businesses. The issues manifest in several ways, including employee absenteeism, tardiness, turnover, unfilled positions and decreased productivity.
  • The Follansbee and Wellsburg chambers in West Virginia recently announced they will merge to form a new Brooke County Area Chamber of Commerce.
  • The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii Young Professionals and American Savings Bank announced applications are open for its annual Mentor Hawaii program. The six-month mentorship program connects young professionals, between the ages of 21 to 39, with mentors in their field. The mentees receive professional growth, networking opportunities and leadership development. 
  • The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia released the results of a Federal Reserve Bank survey of its members on the state of the economy. The top three concerns about the economy included poor sales, labor availability and uncertainty about regulations and government policies.
  • Vail Valley Partnership President & CEO Chris Romer touted the results of ACCE’s recent public opinion poll and reinforced the many ways VVP plays a pivotal role in the region, creating jobs, attracting visitors, supporting workforce housing solutions and more.
  • The Perry Chamber Foundation is one of four recipients of grant funding from the Iowa Rural Development Council for a pilot Rural Business Initiative. The chamber intends to utilize the $30,000 IRDC funds and leverage matching support to facilitate a local business grant program. The effort to provide support to rural small businesses is funded through a $200,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation.
  • The McPherson Chamber hosted its annual Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge last month. Students presented their business ideas during a 4-minute pitch to judges and showcased their concepts to the public through trade show displays.
  • The Quad Cities Chamber released its 2025 legislative agenda. Its priorities include reducing the housing deficit, promoting pro-growth policies, retaining talent, encouraging regulatory stability and more.
