As soon as a business joins your chamber, the retention process begins. It’s not always easy to get a new member to take advantage of all the benefits a chamber provides. If a business doesn’t have an answer to, “What’s in it for me?” when it comes to their membership, it’s not likely they’ll renew. Recently, the Emerging Cities peer group shared their best retention strategies and techniques.
ACCE is pleased to announce the 2022-23 winners of the Dana Ketterling Lifetime Sales Achievement Award and the Sales Contest. The awards are presented by the ACCE Membership Development Division Circle of Champions program, which connects chamber sales professionals and inspires and recognizes excellence in membership sales performance.
ACCE is now accepting applications for its six-month sales coach program. Experienced chamber membership development volunteers will be matched with professionals who are newer to chamber sales for regular advice, coaching and problem-solving.
After a few challenging years, association membership is back on the rise. That’s according to the 2022 Membership Marketing Benchmark Report by Marketing General Incorporated. In fact, 38% of associations reported a membership increase in 2021, compared to 26% in 2020.
